Summary |
This is stunning example of a classic pilots avaitor chronograph based on the Valjoux 77 movement which we estimate to have been manufactured in the late 1940’s. The watch was Fully Serviced by ClockSavant. The watch's beautiful black dial with gilt tachometer and 1940’s era numerals speak to its classic vintage charm and character coupled with the sense of importance chronographs had during this era. We were able to restore this watch to its peak performance. The original dial and hands are beautiful, it is a stunning vintage watch in-person. This is a larger sized vintage chronograph for the era it was made with a diameter of 36mm excluding the crown. The case shows the corrosion that is common for chrome base metal watches put-to-use during this era. As part of our full service, we disassembled the case and meticulously cleaned it to preserve it for the next generation. |
