Summary
This watch is from the ClockSavant Survivor selection of restored vintage watches. These are watches we restore for our love of horology and history and not profitability. This watch has a beauty that only persistence through adversity can produce.. When we obtained this beautiful Landeron 47 Three Pusher Flyback Chronograph from 1937, it had experienced heavy wear of all kinds but it caught our eye on many fronts. So we moved forward to restore this beautiful watch despite the work involved. We couldn't be more pleased with the final result. This watch's drop-dead beautiful copper patina dial draws unsolicited interest and praise from everyone that has seen this watch. The blued hands against the dial and overall watch creates a mesmerizing copper and gold colored glow that we have never seen in any watch. We were successful at driving excellent chronograph operation and timekeeping for this watch. After extensive work and testing, this watch is now available for purchase. Our time cost for restoring this watch was far in excess of what we are selling it for. We hope the next buyer enjoys this watch as our other customers have enjoyed others from our Survivor selection. The watch comes on a distressed used Horween leather strap that we believe matches the aged beauty of the watch well.
\nThe Landeron 47 is highly unique, and extremely useful, because it includes what’s known as a Flyback complication. The flyback is activated by the center (monopusher) button on the crown. While the chronograph is running, it can be immediately reset to zero by pressing the center button. Typically you must stop the chronograph and then press a button again to reset it. While a flyback can also be stopped in-place to read the time elapsed, it can also be immediately flown-back to zero. You can picture this being very useful to a pilot who glances down at his watch while its running, seems what he needs, then wishes, in one-step, to return the chrongraph timer to zero and stop it.

ClockSavant Watchmaker Testing, Certification, and Performance Measurement
All the watches we sell go through a comprehensive series of ClockSavant-developed functional, stability, and performance tests and are only approved for sale if they meet or exceed the criteria we have established. Rate is expressed in seconds gained or lost during a 24 hour period. Amplitude is in degrees. Beat Error is in milliseconds. Lift Angle used in measurement is unique to the particular watch calibre.
