This is a beautiful all-original early 1970's Tissot Navigator with a rare Lemania 5012 chronograph movement and fantastic blue dial. This watch was Fully Serviced by ClockSavant. The Lemania 5012 is a very similar but rare variant of the Lemania 5100. Omega used the Lemania 5100 in its watches, naming it the calibre 1045. This movement was revolutionary in many respects and was designed to be used under difficult conditions by police, military personnel, and other emergency personnel performing their jobs under difficult conditions. Its use of plastic and delrin is poorly understood by some, incorrectly confusing it with cheap construction. Delrin is a very robust material that can withstand significant shock. Other innovations of this movement include an easy to read central chronograph minute counter (the hand with the arrow on it), hour counter, and vertical clutch design. After completing its stay in the ClockSavant spa and retreat, it is now running and functioning superbly and with outstanding accuracy. It is paired with a very high quality Heuer Carrera leather rally style strap of the same era. This watch was originally sold in a country where Spanish was the primary language and, therefore, the day wheel is in Spanish.

ClockSavant Watchmaker Testing, Certification, and Performance Measurement
All the watches we sell go through a comprehensive series of ClockSavant-developed functional, stability, and performance tests and are only approved for sale if they meet or exceed the criteria we have established. Performance measurements for this watch are provided below. See the Support page of our website for an explanation of watch performance measurements and guidance on interpretation. The watch performance values provided do not necessarily reflect the accuracy you will experience based on your unique watch wearing habits. You may experience a gain or loss by as much as approximately 1 minute per day with vintage watches. Legend: Rate, Amplitude (Amp), and Beat Error (BE) are provided for Dial-Up (CH) and Dial-Down (FH) positions. Averages (Avg) are also provided. These represent the average performance of the watch across all 6 traditionally measured watch positions which, in addition to dial-up and dial-down, are the vertical positions of Crown-Up, Crown-Down, Crown-Left, and Crown-Right. Rate is expressed in seconds gained or lost during a 24 hour period. Amplitude is in degrees. Beat Error is in milliseconds. Lift Angle used in measurement is unique to the particular watch calibre.
