Summary |
This is a beautiful Omega Seamaster calibre 355 reference 2757-4 SC bumper wind vintage watch from approximately 1954. The watch was Fully Serviced by ClockSavant and is in excellent condition. We obtained this watch from the family of the original owner. Its rose gold filled case is in excellent condition and the overall patina of the watch draws you into it. As can be seen from the movement pictures, it too is in excellent condition and after our full service, is running very well with signature Omega accuracy. The watch includes a matching rose gold RHD deployant buckle and new ZRC dark brown strap, made in France, with cream stitching. The 1950's was they heyday for automatic watch movements and Omega put a great deal of effort and focus into the Omega calibre 355. It features a very well-designed bumper wind mechanism, indirect center seconds, swan neck regulator, date function, and the advanced copper colored metal alloy that Omega advanced during the era to reduce corrosion-- as you can see, it worked quite well over 60 years later. The watch wears "larger" because of its thick and substantial case-- a design attribute that was to later become a signature aspect of the highly successful Seamaster line of watches. |
