I recently serviced this beautiful Seiko 6138-8020 "Panda" vintage chronograph for a ClockSavant customer. His father, the original owner, worked in a factory manufacturing environment. Despite the harshness of the environment it was exposed to, overall the watch was well cared-for. In the pictures we see unusual rust-like old oil that was cleared-off, the top pivot of the vertical clutch required some work. Due to the dirt in the movement, much of it was first cleaned by-hand and then by machine. After servicing, the watch is running very nicely, water resistant once again, and ready for the next generation.
