We recently serviced this interesting Bulova whale Sea King for one of our customers and it really caught our eye. It is surprisingly attractive, striking, and interesting given the price point for these in the 1970’s. We attribute this to the uniqueness of the dial design including numerals, matte finish, and whale symbol and its excellent movement. Bulova‘s DNA was to partner and this is what allowed the brand to persevere. In this watch you can clearly see the design and execution contributions from its Swiss and Japanese partners and the overall result is quite pleasing. The waterproof case did its job as well as the movement was well preserved.
